The second HIGH DESIGN – Home & Office Expo will take place from August 8 – 10 at São Paulo Expo as an anchor event the DW! São Paulo Design Weekend. The fair is prepared for three historical days with a 30% growth, an estimated record of visitors, differentiated contents, and new ways of doing business. One of its highlights will be the exhibition of the Salão Design Award winners, opening today the registration for its 22nd competition.
In a total area of 15,000 square meters, thousands of architects, interior designers, shopkeepers, builders, international buyers and investors will find an extensive range of products and content for both the high-end manufacturing industry and copyright design. More than 100 renowned brands and experienced professionals, and especially, new talents have chosen this strategic opportunity to present their launches from various segments.
One of the this year’s new initiatives is the 1st International Business Meetings held by the Raiz Project and organized by Sindmóveis Bento Gonçalves in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil). The Raiz Project encourages the internationalization of the service provided by Brazilian designers. Another highlight is the partnership with the RAL Estratégia for the organization and commercialization of the spaces in its innovative area focused on the corporate segment: the OFFICE CONNECTION. The area also has a space reserved for holding TALKS with the main professionals of the field, including Marcy Ewing from Shaw Contract; Mark Catchlove from Herman Miller; Eduardo Trajano from Lojas Riachuelo; Luis Capote from LoebCapote Arquitetura e Urbanismo.

São Paulo Design Weekend, to contact entrepreneurs from small companies and to show the work being developed in the design field. The booth will have an exhibition area to exhibit projects carried out with subsidies from Sebrae and specialists to provide information on service, consultancy, guidance in addition to a survey that shows the sector scenarios and trends, in a collaborative and participatory manner.
A success in 2016, STUDIO HIGH presents exclusive pieces that value Brazilian copyright design. Unlike other areas of the fair, these pre-set designed spaces, ranging from 4m² to 24m², position the fair as one of the main showcases of Brazilian design. The space intended to the designers of furniture and objects of decoration enhances the importance of copyright work.
Another distinguishing feature of the fair that is considered a multimedia business and content platform and that aims to provide unique, unprecedented and exclusive live experiences to visitors, is the TALKS areas segmented by several points:

In addition to all product and content innovations, the 2nd HIGH DESIGN, in partnership with Cia. das Fibras and Art na Van, will promote two social initiatives. From Aug 8-10, a rug will be manufactured in loco during the fair, with the participation of visitors in its production, and three prices of art signed by the artists Grilo, Russ and André Filur will be donated later to two entities: the rug to APAE Campanha (MG) and the pieces of art to Casa Ondina Lobo, a nonprofit institution for the elderly.
Promoted by Informa Group, a large British event organizer and devised by Summit Promo, High Design will be held at São Paulo Expo. The fair will be held at São Paulo Expo, the largest and most modern exhibition pavilion in Brazil, completely new, air-conditioned, with more than five thousand parking spaces, strategically located – 850 meters from the Jabaquara subway, in the capital of São Paulo, 10 minutes from Congonhas airport with quick access to the main hotels in the region.
