The traditional ceremony to unveil the plaque honoring the board of Movelsul Brasil, the largest fair of furniture and complements in Latin America, had a special taste this year. On Thursday, March 27, former presidents and current directors will toast the success of the event with Faces, the official wine licensed for the 2014 FIFA World Cup™, produced by Lidio Carraro winery. The ceremony always held on the penultimate day of the show pays tribute to the representatives of the furniture center of Bento Gonçalves who work voluntarily on behalf of the industry managing Sindmóveis, the promoter of Movelsul.
The President of Sindmóveis, Henrique Tecchio, acknowledged the dedication of the 18 furniture manufacturers and their staff who wrote the history of Movelsul Brasil to this date. "We are meeting this Friday to witness the magic of this show, but just a few know how much time and how many people have been involved in this process," said Henrique.
Sindmóveis paid homage to the board of directors of Movelsul Brasil 2014: President Henrique Tecchio; Administrative and Financial Director, Sandra Peruffo; Director of Infrastructure, Marcos Pilotti; Director of Services, Paulo Rogério da Silva; International Affairs Director, Cesar Nepomuceno; Director of Communications, Adriana Peliciolli; Vice-Director of Communications, Vanessa Machado; Director of Salão Design, Cristiano Gallina. The plaque also includes the members of the advisory board: Cátia Scarton, João Paulo Pompermayer, Glademir Ferrari, Henrique Bertolini, Marcelo Haefliger, Rogério Francio and Sérgio Dalla Costa.
Movelsul Brasil has been held since 1977. Ending next Friday, its 19th edition is expected to generate an estimated US$ 300 million in business over the next 12 months.
The wine of the World Cup
Faces, the official wine licensed for the 2014 FIFA World Cup™, was developed by Lidio Carraro boutique winery, located in Vale dos Vinhedos in Bento Gonçalves (RS). The red wine has 11 varieties of grapes from different producing regions of Rio Grande do Sul, in honor of the 11 players on the field. Faces white wine celebrates the winemaking roots by choosing the three white grapes most grown in Rio Grande do Sul: Moscato, Chardonnay and Riesling Italico. Resulting from a blend of three grapes – Pinot Noir, Merlot and Touriga Nacional – Faces rose is a seductive wine that displays a pink salmon color.
