Two Peruvian businessmen working in the furniture sector are visiting the furniture industry in Bento Gonçalves this week to learn about the technology used by the Brazilian manufacturing companies, the local market and potential suppliers of accessories and raw materials. Last Monday, Nov 23, they visited Sindmóveis, Movergs and Senai-Cetemo premises.
Peru, the main destination for the furniture made in Bento Gonçalves, saw a growth of 68% in its imports in the first half of 2015 over the same period last year. For five years Peru has been one of the top five markets for furniture exporters based in Bento Gonçalves. In 2014, Brazil as a whole exported US$ 38.9 million to this market.
