The installation the fair will start on Wednesday involving more than three thousand people
Starting this Wednesday, March 12, the installation teams of nearly 300 exhibitors at Movelsul Brasil 2014 will begin to construct the booths at the fair, which takes place from March 24-28 at Parque de Eventos in Bento Gonçalves. Approximately three thousand people are involved, drumming up business for hotels and restaurants, even 15 days before the event.
The major furniture and accessories fair in Latin America, Movelsul Brasil 2014 showcases launches of products aimed at the new Brazilian middle class furniture sector. Held since 1977 by the Furniture Industry Association of Bento Gonçalves (Sindmóveis), the event will welcome more than 38,000 visitors. The 19th edition of the show is expected to generate an estimated US$ 300 million in business.
The President of Sindmóveis Henrique Tecchio, points out the relevance of the trade shows for the recognition of Bento Gonçalves as a destination for business tourism. According to the Association of Hotels, Restaurants, Bars and Related Businesses (SHRBS), during the fair hotels in the city reach 90% of their business capacity, which is similar to the high tourist season during the winter time. "These figures impact the local economy – especially when we consider that, in addition to visitors and exhibitors, there are thousands of installation contractors and service providers,” he says.
In 2014, Movelsul Brasil will comprise a total of 57,000 square meter show floor at Parque de Eventos, following the segmented-based format by product type started in 2012. Thus, Pavilions A, B, C and D will feature manufacturers of furniture for offices, kitchens, bedrooms, laundry rooms, bathrooms, gardens and accessories. Pavilion E will exhibit upholstery, mattresses, furniture for dining and living rooms and complements. Home appliances and rugs will have their representatives in pavilion F.
