FIMMA Brasil Buyer’s Project has confirmed the participation of 18 importers

FIMMA Brasil is a benchmark for business development for offering exhibitors specific strategies that will include meetings with importers from seven countries – a tool that will boost exports and build long lasting partnerships.
 
With the positive balance of trade achieved in exports by the furniture industry in Rio Grande do Sul last year, FIMMA Brasil will not only give the starting signal to the woodworking industry but it will also offer a tool to develop important partnerships and obtain good results. The seventh edition of the Buyer’s Project is expected to surpass the results achieved in the last fair.
 
Arranging business meetings that bring together exhibitors of the fair and importers with mutual trade interest, the project is one of the most promising strategies for those seeking to open doors in international trade. Eighteen importers from Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, Paraguay, Venezuela, Peru and, for the first time, Russia have confirmed their participation in the simultaneous 20-minute meetings. Business deals are expected to surpass the result obtained in 2011, which totaled approximately US$ 6.55 million.
 
The Buyer’s Project is one of the strategies that have contributed to the success of FIMMA Brasil as a benchmark for business development. According to the Director of International Affairs, Marcos Troes, the meetings with the importers are an opportunity for exhibitors who want to expand their network and build strong partnerships. “It is an efficient option to consolidate business and exhibit their products to the international market,” he says.
