Approximately 25,000 visitors are expected from March 28 to 31, at Parque de Eventos in Bento Gonçalves for the International Fair of Machines, Raw Materials and Accessories for the Furniture Industry (FIMMA Brasil 2017), organized by Movergs. A traditional partner of the fair, Sindmóveis supports the Buyer’s Project thorough the Orchestra Brasil Project, on March 29 and 30, in partnership with Apex-Brasil.
FIMMA Brasil, currently the fifth largest fair in the world in the woodworking industry, aims to support the development of the sector through the exhibition of technologies, inputs and cutting-edge equipment that will turn into business opportunities. The last show featured 360 exhibiting brands from 30 different countries including: Spain, France, Italy, Germany, India, Austria, Portugal, Turkey, Czech Republic and Peru.
A turnover similar to that achieved in 2015 is expected to be achieved: US$ 290 million. The president of Sindmóveis, Edson Pelicioli, points out the relevance of the partnership between the sector-based organizations of the furniture industry for the resumption of growth. "Sindmóveis, in all its action plans, strengthens its commitment to the woodworking industry, from the supplier of inputs and technologies, the industry itself, to the service provided by Brazilian designers. For us, the furniture manufacturing industry will only have a sustainable growth environment if all members of the industry have the same conditions," he says.
Business meetings
The expansion of the market for the woodworking industry will receive an incentive through the Buyer’s Project, which will enable direct contact between importers of machinery, raw materials and accessories for furniture and Brazilian exporters. Developed strategically and focused on the effectiveness of international commercial transactions and future partnerships, the project will hold previously scheduled business meetings and technical visits.
The Buyer’s Project is an initiative supported by the Orchestra Brasil Project, a partnership between Sindmóveis and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil). Fifty buyers have been invited coming from the United States, Mexico, Panama, Chile, Colombia, Peru, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Argentina, Uruguay, Bolivia and South Africa.

The 21st Movelsul Brasil will last four days: from March 12 to 15, 2018, in compliance with the exhibitors’ request to reduce costs.
